The Brian Vahaly Brighter Future Foundation awards a $2,500 college scholarship to a college-bound high school senior in Georgia who will attend an accredited college or university in the United States. 

Brian was a top junior in USTA Georgia, the USTA Southern Section, and the USTA.  He graduated with a Finance and Business Management degree and was an Academic All-American.  He has also been the recipient of numerous sportsmanship awards.  Brian currently plays on the professional circuit and at one time was the only college graduate in the top 100 on the ATP tour.  Brian began the Brighter Future Foundation to provide college assistance and to support educational youth tennis programs through the USTA in Georgia. 

Selection of the winner is based upon the following criteria:

Essay – “What Value or Events Have Influenced My Life”
Letters of Recommendation

The scholarship will be awarded for the college freshman year only.  The winner will be selected by a scholarship committee and announced at the Annual Brian Vahaly Brighter Future Foundation Charity Fundraiser, “A Return of Service"
