Eunice Dixon |
|
Eunice is home
schooled in partnership with the New Creation Center
for Independent Study Inc. She is a 4.0 student
and is in the top 1% of her class. Her total SAT
scores, including the writing portion, are 1820 on a
2400 scale. Eunice plans to attend Howard
University next year. Eunice is able to balance
her academic studies and her commitment to community
and church service. Some of her successes are:
National Honor Role Member, Delegate to Georgia
Governor's Youth Leadership Summit, Cornel
Summer College Participant, Junior Member COAN Tennis
Association, recipient of the Stephanie McCloyd
Memorial Award for Tennis and High School Excellence,
Volunteer for and After School program, is a ministry
teen helper for the Berean Bible Baptist Church, and a
member of the youth and mass choir. Eunice wants
to dedicate her future career to advocate literacy and
education. Eunice's proud parents are Johnnie
and Anthony Dixon. |

Brian Garber |
Brian
is an
honor student at Columbus High School, with a 3.9 GPA.
He scored 1220 on his verbal and math SAT's. Brian
plans to attend Boston College next year. Brian is
very dedicated to his studies, tennis, and his volunteer
work. He is a member of the BETA club, the Foreign
Language Honor Society, volunteers for the Humane Society,
has been a member of the Columbus Regional Tennis
Association Teen Council for five years, serving as
president for the last two years. The teen council gives
back to the community through tennis: A Christmas
Toy Tournament, Girl Scout and Boy Scout clinics, Girls
Sports expositions, Wheelchair Tennis and Tennis Works in
the Park program. Brian has played number one for
the Columbus High School Tennis team for four years and
was chosen as the 2004-2005 Columbus Ledger Player of the
Year. In addition, babysitting for children with
special needs has made him realize how lucky he is and
that simple things in life should not be taken for
granted. Brian's proud parent's are Janice and Bruce
Garber.
