Award Recipients for 2004


 

Marc Dwyer is home schooled in partnership with the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Independent Study High School.  He carries a 4.0 GPA (800 SAT math score) and is a pending Merit Scholar.  Marc plans to attend Northwestern University next year.  He balances academics with active community service and the management of his own racquet stringing business.  Marc’s tennis achievements rate him as one of America’s Top 10 rising freshmen in the country.  He’s the National Champion in the 16’s and is this year’s USTA Peach State Classic National Champion.  Marc’s proud parents are Jim and Andrea Dwyer.
 
 


 

Jacob Sauls is a senior attending Tift County High School and will attend Abraham Baldwin College next year.  He’s a 4.0 Furman Scholar and a member of the National Spanish Honor Society.  He’s also maintained a consistent leadership role in his church while participating in a number of charitable fund raising events.  Jacob’s tennis career is equally impressive, having played #1 singles all four years in high school and also earning top 20 rankings in Georgia for both singles and doubles.  Jacob’s proud parents are Frank and Cynthia Sauls.
